Anamorphic Lenses

A genuine vintage 70s anamorphic look with  low contrast and warm tint.

Front anamorphic lenses are based on the original Kowa optical design. They produce a bokeh effect and some  horizontal flares, classics of the format.

Constructed in a compact, lightweight housing with modern cam-actuated internal focusing mechanics. The focus throw has changed significantly compared to the originals.

Evolution lenses offer a 200° angle on the focus ring and 100° on the aperture ring. The 0.8 mod gears are in the same position as the gear rings throughout the assembly, which integrates well in a modern production environment.

The 80mm front diameter is perfect for clip-on matte box use and a 77mm thread has been added for screw-in filters. That makes the Evolution 2X anamorphic lenses ideal for handheld cameras, Steadicams, or drone cameras.

They are the first Hawk brand lenses, manufactured in the 1990s. Small and rough, they produce a very good image, maintaining the classic blue flare characteristic of anamorphics.

The Angénieux 50-500mm HR T5 offers long range with a medium body. It has a good aperture of f5 and weighs 4.7 kilos. Of excellent quality and very reliable, this zoom is the one that best adapts to anamorphic, in all the Indian filmography.
